Cooperative Education
Our School’s industrial internship, or co-op program, combines relevant job experience with classroom studies. Students work with practicing engineers, often designing and building real products. Internship salaries are competitive and approach those of graduating engineers by the end of the program.
This experience is invaluable, since it offers Canadian, program-related practical experience which enhances a student's employability after graduation. Placements are also made abroad, with some students finding work as far away as Germany, Japan, Finland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea.
Our Engineering Science Co-op Office assists students in preparing for interviews and job placements, ensures curriculum requirements are met, and connects with industry to create exciting and relevant work opportunities.
