General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Release 16.0.A PL6 (Build 10353 32-bit)OPNET Model Library 16.0 (17-7-2014) The General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) model captures the signaling and transmission behavior of a GPRS network. The model employs the following network components: Mobile Station (MS), Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN), Base Station Router (BSC) Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN), Home Location Register (HLR), and a sink. The following simplifications to the GPRS standards specifications were made: no implementation of the base station sub-system (BSS),base station router (BSC), home location register (HLR) simplified allocation of MS identifiers, single active data session per MS, uni-directional user data transfer, and implementation of a single GGSN where all MS user data are tunneled through. Revised model (version 16.0.A PL6) created by: Sathappan Kathiresan Update model model (version 10.0.A, PL1) created by: Renju Narayan Update model (version 9.0.A, PL4) created by: James Song and Vladimir Vukadinovic Original model (version 7.0.B, PL6) created by: Ricky Ng.
