Caucus information:

Information to give students:

  • They must use their SFU account to access Caucus.
  • When they use Caucus for the first time, they will be asked to fill in their personal profile.
  • They can find the conference using any of these methods: When accessing the conference by any of these means for the first time, people will be invited to "make me a member of the conference and add it to my personal conference list". They should click Yes.

Henceforth, option 1 will put people directly into the conference. Using options 2 or 3, they would see bus448 as soon as they connect to the SFU Caucus Centre.

If you haven't already found it, Caucus startup help is available at http://www.sfu.ca/acs/conference/caucus.htm

In the conference you can create multiple discussion "Items" each of which can have multiple "Responses". It's usually a good idea to foster use by starting some discussion Items.

Note that there's a conference called Practice people wish to experiment in a safe place where it doesn't matter if you mess up.
