Project Description:

Forward error control (FEC) is not specified in the current 802.11b Wireless Local Area Network (LAN) standard. This project is to investigate the application of FEC to archive better TCP performance over wireless LAN. Simulation will be carried out in OPNET to model the FEC performance without implementing the actual coding algorithms.
